Americans kill more civilians

Quoting an article in the New York Times, “American troops raked a large passenger bus with gunfire near Kandahar on Monday morning, killing as many as five civilians and wounding 18, and sparking anger in a city where winning over Afghan support is considered pivotal to the war effort.”

No one will be held accountable for these murders. No one is ever held accountable for civilan deaths at the hands of American soldiers or mercenaries or the troops of American allies. No one is held accountable in the constantly-at-war American society.

No one is judged for stupidity or for war crimes. President Obama, who we would like to think the best of, is ultimately responsible for these deaths. As are all of us citizens of the U.S. As Bush/Cheney were responsible for the deaths of civilians while they were in office.

If one is determined to be constantly at war, and accedes to the logic of the military-industrial complex that seemingly now rules the country, one should learn how to conduct a war. In a way that doesn’t constantly work to recruit more enemies. If one, that is, just doesn’t want to always be at war.
